We are now offering our clients home modification services and would like to take this opportunity to tell you about it!

Alan Clough, a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), has joined our firm. In addition to combining his twenty years of experience as a real estate broker with ten years of consturction management in his most recent position as a superintendent and vice president of a general contracting company, Alan has a reputation for completing his project on time and on budget.

Developed by the National Associate of Home Builders (NAHB) Remodelers Council, the CAPS curriculum is the only national program dedicated to advancing the knowledge of home remodelers who provide services to older adults and/or those with progressive health condition-based needs. Using the principles of universal design with an eye toward adaptability, accessibility, and visitability, remodelers with a CAPS designation use their technical knowledge to solve remodeling needs of the aging-in-place population. Conducting home evaluations is only the first step in ensuring habitability of a client's home now as well as in the future. We believe the consturction process is only part of a modification project; we help clients solve problems through modifying or adapting their environments by removing barriers and adding safety features

When working with your clients as a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist, Alan understands key age-related and chronic health issues that may require modifications to one's environment, and is sensitive to the needs of clients with mobility, sensory, and cognitive impairments.
